About The Foundation
The Delta Gamma Foundation fosters lifetime enrichment for members, promotes Service for Sight and partners with the Fraternity to ensure the future of our sisterhood. Dedicated members and friends make this mission possible through philanthropy, service and generous gifts which support the Foundation’s three signature programs: Service for Sight, Grants to the Fraternity for Leadership and Educational Programming and Grants to Individual Members.
Two Organizations, One Delta Gamma:
We are one Delta Gamma, but in accordance with Internal Revenue Code, the Foundation and Fraternity are two separate organizations. In 1951, the Delta Gamma Foundation was formed as a complement to the Fraternity, creating a vehicle for members to promote the educational interests and social responsibility referenced in Article II of the Fraternity Constitution. Each entity offers unique opportunities for our members to “Do Good.” To see how we are living out this motto, view the most recent annual impact report and 990 Report.
The Foundation is governed by the Delta Gamma Foundation Constitution and Articles of Incorporation, the Convention and the Foundation Board of Trustees.
Make a gift to the Delta Gamma Foundation to support our three signature programs.
At the University of Chicago, we hold Anchorslam, an annual 3-v-3 basketball tournament that occurs during Spring quarter! This is our largest philanthropy event and open to the entire UChicago community. And during Winter quarter we host Sweet Paradise, where we sell delicious baked goods on campus!
In the 2022/2023 school year, we were able to donate $2,823.26 to local organizations supporting the blind and visually- impaired communities!
