Philanthropy Events

Each quarter, Delta Gammas volunteer at local organizations that support the blind and visually impaired community. These include the Illinois Eye Institute, Eversight Illinois, Blind Service Association and the Chicago Lighthouse. Volunteering ranges from helping administer eye exams to children to guiding the visually impaired during the organizations' annual fundraisers. 

We have two annual fundraisers, held during Winter and Spring quarter. In the Winter, we hold Sweet Paradise, where we sell baked goods from local businesses such as Dat's Donuts. During Spring we hold our largest fundraiser, Anchor Slam, which brings a variety of student organizations together to compete in a 3v3 basketball tournament, half-time dance competition, and other games. All money raised from these endeavors goes towards Service for Sight, the Delta Gamma Foundations's core philanthropic program, and local partner organizations, such as The Illinois Eye Institute.
